For us, your studies already begins with your appli­ca­tion. We select all our stu­dents per­son­ally. In this way we ensure that your fellow stu­dents are just as moti­vated as you are. In addi­tion, we make sure that all of our first-year stu­dents have the same pre­vious knowl­edge. The ability to work in a team, will­ing­ness to per­form and social com­mit­ment are just as impor­tant as pro­fes­sional training. In addi­tion to the inter­view, a study coun­selling ses­sion takes place in the intro­duc­tory inter­view. We answer all your open ques­tions about the study pro­gram and sup­port you in plan­ning your studies according to your needs.

Application Process

If you have any ques­tions about the study pro­gram or if you are not sure whether the Double Master Degree in Inter­na­tional Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion is right for you, simply con­tact our stu­dent advi­sory ser­vice. Here you can get a per­sonal con­sul­ta­tion.

For the appli­ca­tion a pro­fes­sional-qual­i­fied degree (Bach­elor) with busi­ness align­ment and at least 180 ECTS credits whereas at least 135 ECTS credits must be reached at the time of the appli­ca­tion are nec­es­sary. Should you not dis­pose the leaving cer­tifi­cate yet within the appli­ca­tion pro­ce­dure, we need an offi­cial com­pi­la­tion of your pre­vious per­for­mances with a cer­ti­fi­ca­tion of the average grades. For the matric­u­la­tion, the leaving cer­tifi­cate must be pre­sented.

In order to make the appli­ca­tion process as pleasant as pos­sible for you, we have set up a new online appli­ca­tion tool. You will be guided intu­itively through the appli­ca­tion process and we make sure that your appli­ca­tion is com­plete and for­mally cor­rect.
While logged in to the appli­ca­tion portal, you can save your appli­ca­tion process and upload or alter your details grad­u­ally. The com­pleted and sub­mitted online appli­ca­tion meets the require­ments for your appli­ca­tion for admis­sion – you do not have to send any doc­u­ments by mail.
Yet, you have to pro­vide the offi­cially cer­ti­fied copies of your cer­tifi­cates or the orig­inal doc­u­ments to verify the data given in your online appli­ca­tion at the time of your enroll­ment at latest. If you have pro­vided wrong infor­ma­tion or if you do not have the required qual­i­fi­ca­tions, admis­sion will be refused.

The selec­tion pro­ce­dure at Ingol­stadt WFI is car­ried out within the scope of the appli­ca­tion process to the gen­eral Master pro­gram. For more details about the selec­tion pro­ce­dure please refer to the gen­eral exam­i­na­tion reg­u­la­tions for the Master degree pro­gram in Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion. We do not only con­sider formal aca­d­emic per­for­mances, but the appli­cants are invited to a per­sonal inter­view, in which per­sonal engage­ment, for­eign expe­ri­ence & pro­fes­sional skills and your social com­pe­tences & moti­va­tion are ascer­tained as well. Qual­i­fied appli­cants are invited to this inter­view upon receival of all required appli­ca­tion papers. If you meet all the require­ments, we will send you a con­fir­ma­tion of admis­sion.

Application Master

You can apply for each pro­gram, with the excep­tion of the inter­na­tional pro­gram, in both the summer and winter semes­ters.

It is only pos­sible to apply for one spe­cial pro­gram, as this is a degree pro­gram.

You can also apply to us as a Uni­ver­sity of Applied Sci­ences grad­uate.

You do not need a cer­tain number of ECTS, for example in eco­nomics or sta­tis­tics. How­ever, your bach­e­lor’s pro­gram must have an eco­nomic back­ground.

No waiting periods are taken into account.

Admis­sion to another under­grad­uate course is referred to as a second course of study. A post­grad­uate, con­sec­u­tive Mas­ter’s does not fall under this cat­e­gory.

We have no NC bound­aries. Admis­sion and assess­ment are based on an indi­vidual assess­ment pro­ce­dure.

Based on the grade, plus or minus points are cal­cu­lated for pre­vious knowl­edge, pro­fes­sional experience/internships, for­eign lan­guage skills/experience abroad as well as vol­un­tary and other com­mit­ment, which increase or reduce the chances of obtaining a place at our uni­ver­sity. If your grade is better than 2.5, you will be invited to an indi­vidual inter­view approx­i­mately two weeks after the appli­ca­tion dead­line.

A lan­guage cer­tifi­cate can improve your grade in the apti­tude test, which is why we advise you to enclose proof of your appli­ca­tion. Cer­tifi­cates can be offi­cial lan­guage cer­tifi­cates, busi­ness Eng­lish or a course of study in Eng­lish.
Based on the lan­guage cer­tifi­cates sub­mitted, the inter­view can take place in Eng­lish or French (with Toulouse).

Rel­e­vant pre­vious knowl­edge counts for the sub­ject of study, for example the atten­dance of a spe­cial­iza­tion in the sub­ject area of the desired Master or the atten­dance of mostly rel­e­vant courses.

The fol­lowing cri­teria are assessed during the selec­tion inter­view:

  • Per­sonal appear­ance and moti­va­tion,
  • Method­ical knowl­edge,
  • Exper­tise for the spe­cial­iza­tion.

A letter of moti­va­tion is not nec­es­sary, but can strengthen the appli­ca­tion and explain unclear points in the appli­ca­tion. It can be sent under “Upload doc­u­ments” under “Var­ious”.

Answer the ques­tions briefly and in short.

You do not have to submit any doc­u­ments by post. An orig­inal copy of the cer­tifi­cates is only required after accep­tance.

After the Application / Interview

You will receive your invi­ta­tion approx­i­mately 5 days after the appli­ca­tion dead­line for the Mas­ter’s pro­gram.

The inter­view takes place two weeks after the appli­ca­tion dead­line.

A Skype inter­view is pos­sible if you have more than 1000 km of expe­ri­ence abroad.

You will receive all the infor­ma­tion you need to submit in your enroll­ment notice.

You can for example receive nota­riza­tions from local reg­is­tra­tion offices, schools or churches.

The reg­is­tra­tion doc­u­ments must be sub­mitted by post or in person.

Change of University

In the Mas­ter’s pro­gram, it is not pos­sible to apply for a higher semester. You can apply for credit for your per­for­mance from your Uni­ver­sity during the first semester.

No. An exam­i­na­tion of the appli­ca­tions can only be car­ried out upon pre­sen­ta­tion of the noti­fi­ca­tion of admis­sion and the enrol­ment.
